Over 1,200 volunteers that make the Jamie Farr Toledo Corning Classic a success each year. They have the opportunity to choose from over 25 committees. Volunteer opportunities range from being on course, in the clubhouse, off-site or volunteering prior to tournament week.

2012 Volunteer packages

$55 includes:

**Volunteer must provide own tan slacks or shorts.

Below you will find a brief description of the volunteer committees and jobs. Some committees may require a training session prior to the tournament to familiarize volunteers with their duty. Volunteers range in age from 11 years old to over 80! No experience necessary!

Volunteer opportunities including a brief job description are listed below. All jobs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.


OPERATIONS:
Operation committees are responsible for ensuring tournament play proceeds in a timely and professional manner.

SCORING CONTROL: Responsible for relaying and verifying player scores, requests rulings, report interval violations and requests emergency services from First Aid. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available – No TUESDAY shifts)

SPECTATOR INFORMATION: Displays upcoming players’ scores in relation to par on thru boards on selected holes. ($55 volunteer package/Thursday-Sunday shifts available)

STANDARD BEARERS: Walk with players displaying names and scores in relation to par. (11 years and older only)
(17 and under - $12 volunteer package, adults - $55 volunteer package - No TUESDAY shifts)

WALKING SCORERS: Walk with the players recording their scores, recording all shots getting to the green and putts. ($55 volunteer package – No MONDAY or TUESDAY shifts)

RUNNERS: Pick-up score sheet from walking scorer and take it for copying. (17 and under. -$12 volunteer package, adults-$55 volunteer package – Thursday-Sunday shifts available)

MARSHALS: Enforce crowd control during play, ensuring players safe and easy access from hole to hole and signaling the gallery for quiet as players address the ball. ($55 volunteer package - No TUESDAY shifts)

PLAYER SERVICES:
Player Services committees are responsible for ensuring the needs of the LPGA players are met.

LOCKER ROOM: Provides access to lockers and distributes mail and messages to LPGA pros. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available; women only)

FOOD SERVICES: Staffs and supervises players grill and meal count. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available; women only)

TRANSPORTATION: Provides transportation service to and from the course for LPGA players and VIPs. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available; 21 years of age or older)

SPECTATOR SERVICES:
Spectator Services committees are responsible for planning and providing high quality cost effective parking, bussing, security, and first aid services.

CLUBHOUSE ADMISSION: Checks credentials on the patio and other entry ways into the clubhouse. Making sure everyone has the proper credentials. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available)

FIRST AID: Provides basic first aid service for players, volunteers and spectators. Must be certified in first aid. ($12 volunteer package except Directors/Monday-Sunday shifts available)

VALET PARKING: Provides valet parking for Pro-Am participants. ($12 volunteer package - Monday & Wednesday only; 21 years of age or older)

SHUTTLE SERVICE: Provides shuttle service for spectators, directors, chairmen and others from Parking Lot D. ($12 volunteer package - Monday-Sunday shifts available; 21 years of age or older)

PUBLIC INFORMATION TENT/ PAIRINGS DISTRITBUTION: Provides general player and course information to the spectators and distributes pairing sheets. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available)

GREETERS: Greets spectators at main gate and checks credentials. ($12 or $55 volunteer package – Monday-Sunday shifts available)

GROUNDS:

Grounds committees are responsible for physical changes including construction of temporary on-course structures, placement of informational signs, refuse collection, plus set-up and tear-down of tables/chairs, roping and fencing.

TABLES/CHAIRS: Responsible for set up and tear down of all tables/chairs needed on site during Tournament week. ($12 volunteer package/ Sunday, August 5 – Monday, August 13 shifts available)

VOLUNTEER SERVICES:

Volunteer Services committees are responsible for all areas dealing directly with volunteer needs.

VOLUNTEER TENT: Assists in distribution of Volunteer Tent snacks and information plus gives support to off-course volunteers during Tournament. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available)


SPONSOR SERVICES:

Sponsor Services committees are responsible for ensuring that needs of the sponsors and their guests are met during Tournament week.

WILL CALL: A location for players, spectators, and sponsors to pick up and drop off credentials ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available)

SKYBOX: Works closely with sponsors in coordinating registration, skybox security and hospitality. ($55 volunteer package/Thursday - Sunday shifts only)

CLUBHOUSE HOSPITALITY: Supervises sponsors and guest registration to Clubhouse Hospitality. ($55 volunteer package/Thursday - Sunday shifts only)

SKYBOX/HOSPITALITY SECURITY: Responsible for checking credentials in the Skybox, Champion’s Tent and Clubhouse Hospitality area. ($55 volunteer package/Thursday - Sunday shifts only.)

CHAMPION’S TENT: Registers sponsors and guests, assists with any needs and oversees the caterer’s upkeep of the food and tent area. ($55 volunteer package/Thursday - Sunday shifts available)

MEDIA:

Media committees are responsible for working with media and LPGA media staff.

MEDIA ROOM: Staffs press room to meet the needs of working media and LPGA media staff. ($55 volunteer package/Monday-Sunday shifts available)
