| Dear Volunteer,
May 2008
JFOCC Volunteers,
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to speak with
representatives from each of the 2008 benefiting charities. All
are very passionate about the needed services they provide for
children in Northwest Ohio. They are equally excited about
their participation in this year’s tournament and the positive
impacts it will have on their programs. It was a pleasure for
me to accept their heartfelt thanks, on behalf of all
volunteers, for our time and efforts in making this tournament
happen. I consider this the real reward for my involvement.
It’s hard to believe we are less than two months till the
tournament. Volunteer opportunities are still available in all
areas. Sometimes, all it takes is a personal invitation to sway
a potential volunteer. Thanks for your continued support in
recruiting new volunteers.
Concerns, questions, or suggestions? I can most easily be
reached by email at
srsaunders@firstenergycorp.com
or (419) 321-7605 (days) and (419) 698-3571 (evenings).
Reminder: The 2008 volunteer uniform is khaki (tan) bottoms.

Help Recruit Volunteers for 2008
You can help the JFOCC recruit new volunteers. The first way
you can help is to talk to your friends and neighbors and tell
them about why you choose to be a JFOCC volunteer. Direct your
friends to the volunteer area of the website at
www.jamiefarrowenscorning.com.
The second way that you help is by assisting us in getting
opportunities to tell the JFOCC story to groups in the
community. Many of you are members of service organizations or
religious organizations (Seniors, Women’s, Men’s, Youth groups)
that invite speakers to their meetings. Suggest to the
schedulers that they consider a speaker from the Jamie Farr
Owens Corning Classic. The story of the JFOCC is powerful and
the Jamie Farr volunteer community is a wonderful group of
people. Please help us get the message out. To schedule a
JFOCC speaker, contact Dick Flaskamp at 419-450-3140 or
rhf@buckeye-express.com
